Original tune Sneaky Love harkens back to dating days and feelings of being unappreciated, (the answer to which is discovered to be self-appreciation!). It was a challenge but all in all a ton of fun to create and arrange. so satisfied with the result - my one R&B track on the album Thanks to the Brass Transit horn section, to Bob McAlpine's great arranging and to Mike Shotton for making it so fun and for his inspired input on this track.
lyrics
Sneaky Love
Loneliness sneaks up on you
like a back to school ad on the last day of June
With so many friends finding their sweet brides and grooms
Instead of loneliness, why can't love sneak up on me too
Dates came along but no-one thought to explore
just who I am, what I like what I do and what excites me and more,
Don't get me wrong, good men I surely knew
But love, just, wasn't sneaking up on me too!
My mother always told me,
that time will one day tell
That things'll work out well,
True love finds you when you least expect it
Without some Soul reflection
you may foolishly reject hi-i-m
- SOLI SECTION (HORNS) -
My mother always told me
That time will one day tell
Ya things'll work out well
True love finds you when you least expect it
Without some should reflection
You may foolishly reject him ya, aaa
Her words were wise
For when I opened the door
For who I am, what I like, what I do and what excites me and more,
To my surprise I recognized my true blue
yes love had found time to sneak up on me too
yes love had found time to sneak up on me too
love just keeps sneaking up....on me too....
True love finds you when you least expect it
ya, yaaaa
Yes love had found time to sneak up on me too
